I decided to learn the guitar and began the journey at the age of 66. A year into the journey I found TAC and decided to join the family. After two years of the daily challenges and Skill Courses my playing was improving slowly. I have a daily practice routine of 5 days a week and would usually practice/play an hour a day. The other day a friend of a friend found out that I played the guitar (ha ha) and asked me to come to his jam session. After some deep thought and encouragement from my wife I decided to make my way to the jam. I was extremely nervous walking in but was made welcome by the group. After the jam ended I wondered why it took me so long to give a jam session a try and was even asked to join another jam. Great people.

This is fantastic! So happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the session and move past your nerves. I haven’t joined a jam yet, but it seems like so much fun.

@bill_s, that is huge. And your trepidation is not a one off only to you. I actually started with TAC so that I would get enough of 50 years previous to not embarrass myself when I decided to start with the Jam Sessions in earnest. (4 years ago, and the next one with that group is tonight). Go, Play, WIN!!
