Posted by Niels on April 14, 2021 at 1:49 pmIf Tony can reuse this improv after only 11 weeks, so can I 🙂

Thank you for your kind words, @JoeW , @Dan D. , @PhilBarru and @dr_dave .
I am a bit at loss here.
Apparently Tony has created a new improv sequence, when he changed to the new TAC layout.
Looking at the rest of this month it looks as if he is stepping back five improvs in the old sequence, so the first improv in May will probably be Melody Lane.In September 2020 I started working concentrated with scales and I also started doing the Wednesday improvs.
The idea was to use them to learn the scales necessary for further improvisation, and now, after a thirty improv streak I am not ready to just go back over improvs I have already made.
I will definitely prefer instead to do what @Dan D. does a lot of the time: Find a nice background track on the net and solo over that, which will probably do me a ton of good anyway. So I am stopping my Wednesday improvs until Tony comes up with one that I have not done yet.
See you 🙂

Makes sense Niels. Funny, I was just thinking boy did time pass quickly it doesn’t seem that long ago I did this series😁

Yes – it is funny.
I think at lot of TAC members have done the improv series several times previously, and a lot of TAC members are not ready yet (like me the three first years), so we end up with only a dozen interested in improvs out of the whole TAC community 😀

Nice improv and use of effects, Niels! I will miss your solo posts, but
understand your point of view! Have fun whatever you are up to out
there! 🙂 -

Very well done Niels. I understand your thoughts but let me say that those of us who are relatively new here the Four eyes improv is a great start. Your improv on this may be old news to you but it has given me reason to hit the strings with more ferver than ever. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you @Poppa for your kind words.
Just to be clear:
The improvs are new to me as well, as I did not do them during my first three years in TAC.
They become interesting to me, as improvisation became my focus, when I had my third TACiversary.
And the first 30 improvs came in a nice sequence without repeats, and I was expecting the last 18 to go the same way – until the TAC layout changed, at Tony started using Wednesday scales I had done recently.
So I am still very much on the lookout for the last 18 improvs, and when they turn up, I shall definitely do them 😀

That was really lovely, Niels, and it was new to me. I only started TAC last November.

Niels. As always you play with soul and precision. Lovely.
Not seen that guitar before, was it a lockdown gift to yourself? I have bought a lovely Telecaster.
-
Thank you, @Philip DW.
Congratz on the Tele 👍I joined a cabaret band in 2011, and realized that my trusty classical nylon stringed guitar (my only guitar for the previous 25 years) was not going to cut it, and without knowing anything about electrical guitars I bought this Strat.
However, I soon found out that Statocasters are demons to keep in tune when playing rhythm, so I also had to buy a Tele – and my slide down the slippery GAS slope had begon 😀I have been using the Strat a lot for the improvs I have been doing lately – just to keep it in practice.
