@charlie_d I am so sorry for your friend. That is so sad. I hope all works out well and they caught it early enough. My younger brother had thyroid cancer and had his gland or something removed.
I have to say this was one of your most melodic improvs. I liked the composition and how it contrasted some with the backing track. Some great notes and chords. Loved the runs.

What is so great about your improv ability, is you can always use guitar to create a zen, peaceful moment for yourself to reflect… such a gift.
