How I TAC
1.) How many days per week do you play?
I get in 5-6 sessions per week. Because of the time difference in NZ (I’m basically from the future) I get the Friday challenge on Saturday. I complete it and revisit a favourite or two of the weeks challenges and work on song learning over the remainder of the weekend.
2.) What time of day do you play?
I’m pretty consistent with playing around 8:30 to 9:30 nights.
3.) Where do you play?
I play in our spare bedroom/ study, it’s a peaceful space place with the bonus of having an amazing view.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I bought my 1st (and only) guitar about 25 years ago to offset my bass playing. I never had formal lessons and faltered in regularity, not picking up the guitar for years at times.
TAC I has given me focus and regular touchstones for improvement.
I’ve found that I have continued to stay motivated by doing the daily challenge lessons. I’ve completed the Fretboard Wizard course too – amazing lightbulb moments throughout, it gives a great simple to understand foundation which has me understanding songs and has filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge too!
5.) Bonus Question: Not too many distractions though I do enjoy a single malt whilst playing – it really improves the tone and fluency I’ve found. This is science. 😉
