Hey @albert_d , I just wanted to give my two cents on your question. First, I’m going to start with the idea that all chords can have different “names” based on the “intended root” of the chord. WHAT??? Yes, that open C chord could be an Emb6 or an Em/C if we “intended” the root to be E instead of C – haha – go figure – right? And we could do this with each note in that open C chord. Yes, there are “rules” to naming chords but, like most things in music, rules can be broken. I have more info to give you, but “big brother” isn’t allowing me to post it here (so far). I have found a wonderful website (OOLIMO.COM/EN), you should check this one out and see what I’m talking about.

Thanks @jorgemac and @bill_brown. I’m traveling in Switzerland but when I get back I’ll try a different file format and see if I can get your input on my attempt. I have enjoyed this “little learning project. I got the idea from he last time this benchmark came around.

You have to tell me about Switzerland someday, I lived there in 68/69 (Geneva) and 91-94 (Bern area). My 2 oldest daughters were born there.
