Last Steam Engine Train – Tony’s Arrangement
Posted by ted_h on July 30, 2021 at 12:50 pmHi, everyone! I had to work on this one for quite a while. There are a few mistakes, but I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out! This is from the old song vault if you’re looking for the lessons or tab…

Great job Ted! I love that song, would love to learn that one. Very clean fretting and your guitar has a nice woodie tone to it. Finger pickin ninja.

😱 I think you’ve just completed Tony’s Acoustic Challenge! Awesome Ted I bet that took some serious work to get so smooth you have a really good touch very inspiring cheers

Very impressive; great job! Smooth and clear. I can’t even think about that kind of playing where I am at; but it gives me inspiration to keep going. Thanks!

Great job with this song. I’m going to pull this song up for myself. I didn’t hear any mistakes, i’m sure no one else did either.

John Fahey makes the guitar sound like thunder:
And this version with Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, and Doc Watson is amazing:

Chet and the guys pick over the sound hole but Wow Fahey is almost picking the bridge.

Great job. I’ve been working on that one off and on for a while. My interest and focus comes and goes. But Tony did say this one would take a while to learn. I’ll get it one day.
Again, great job!

Great players getting together, enjoy.
Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke and Doc Watson
