New Guy here! with a structure question.

So after the 30 day program is there a program that is set up in a structure like that?

ie, Start on this lesson, then go to this lesson….

I find it a little overwhelming when I go to look at the courses and there just there in alphabetical order. I was hoping for a beginners start here, advanced start here kinda deal.

I did buy the fretboard wizard and really enjoy that so far.

    ANY help is appreciated.

Hey @Killer and welcome to TAC. Great question, and I can see how it might feel overwhelming after completing the 30 day challenge. You can start on anything you like, as this is your guitar journey. I found the strumming, flatpicking jumpstart and fingerpicking jumpstart great places to start. If you haven’t taken the stretching course, that would probably be first on my list. Better barre chords was another great one to start with. However, you can do them in any order you choose. Start with asking yourself what you’re interested in. If you’re not sure, start with the courses above. I believe some new 5 day challenge courses have been added recently. I haven’t had an opportunity to look at them yet, but those might be great places too. Have you put together a 90 day goal yet? What do you want to accomplish within the next 90 days?

Hi, @Killer!I’ve been a TAC member for about four months now. I usually do the daily challenge (those are posted every weekday) as the “anchor” of my routine. Beyond that I have been going through the skills courses as time allows. Usually each mini-course takes me 1-3 on the weekends and on weekdays when I have a little extra time. I totally agree with @Loraine – pick the skills courses that you’re most interested in and have fun!

I agree with @Loraine, get a goal together. That will help you to start thinking about what you really want to learn. I picked a song for my 90 day goal, and I want to learn to fingerpick it. So I picked the courses that had to do with finger picking. Check out other members profiles to help give you an idea of what to do. Let me congratulate you on signing up for the fretboard wizard. It was an eye opener for me. In fact, I’m thinking of backtracking and going over some of the sections again. Good Luck.

I was just hoping to have more of a guided experience through the lessons. Like lesson one teaches you skills you need for lesson 2. Does that make sense? A beginning to end lesson set.

@Killer I do understand what you are looking for, but TAC believes in each individual mapping out their goals and putting a practice plan together. Just an FYI, within each course, the lessons are set up in the manner you’re looking for. You complete the first lesson in a course and then mark it complete and move to the next lesson. Within each course, the lessons do build upon each other. Hope this helps.
