That was excellent.
I play that song often but it is all strumming. Do you have the tab for your fingerpick version?
-
I am really just using travis picking. Just grab the root note with your thumb and weave the rest of the notes in. Learning this wil transform the way you play. For me, it alows me to express more feeling musically. Give it a try. Thanks for listening.

This was fantastic – thanks Marisa. Beautiful – love this song. Great job!

Nicely done Marisa! I love playing and singing this song.

You have a really good therapist! I feel better already just hearing your song. Good job. When you play a gig, what confidence percentage of the lyrics do you like to have down compared to being prompted?
-
Hi Alfred. Lately, I cannot see my ipad with any certainty, so the more I have down the better… I also like to look out as it helps to stay connected. In reality, though, it is harder to memorize new songs, so, I guess my circular answer is 100% to 20%!!

Wonderful! My favorite version of this song. You do it so well; moody and melodic.

I’ve seen a bunch of your posts and this is the best one i think or at least my favorite. Good job!!

To be honest, I almost didn’t listen to this. I have loved this song for a very long time, and I was worried that I would not be able to listen without any nostalgic bias. I am happy to say that your version was every bit as lovely as the original. Thank you for letting us listen.

Thank you Marisa. I want to learn to travis pick. I can do the riff in Blackbird. You inspire me to keep trying. The guitar is your therapy? It’s my meditation.

Meditation/Therapy… it’s all the same…just listening to the chords resinate is heaven to me. May I suggest Landslide to nail down Travis picking? Try it out and let me know how it goes.

Really nice. Exactly what I am working toward. Your timing seems spot on and great dynamics with the finger style and strumming. Excellent performance as well as encouragement (hope) for us newer players.

Thanks for that. I always try to post so one can make out both hands. And, if I can help, even in a small way, that is great. Enjoy your guitar journey.
