Unplugged and outside today- and had a blast! Will bring guitar to memorial day with family. Finished this one just in time to make set list! 😎 Will be the first time playing for a bunch of people- albeit family.

Thank you very much @Loraine. You were the very first person who greeted me at TAC and I have been very appreciative of all your support.

Nice one, @marisa! You’re sounding great, and I have to say you look very confident too. You seem very comfortable with the guitar strapped on, good stance relaxed shoulders, etc. Keep it up!

Great job @Marisa , and that picnic will be a blast. Hope you get to enjoy and remember, bar-b-que sause and guitar finishes are not really a good mix.

Have a blast, I really enjoyed it, and you voice and timing are right on.

In another life, a long time ago, I sang cabaret-style in NYC before becoming a Chiropractor…. it never left my blood @Dan D#

Your playing is fearless. Just remember, before you even start, the audience loves you and wants you to do well. Play like that and you’ll knock them out.

Great Indigo Girls pick @Marisa . Best of luck on playing your set list in front of your audience. Please share your songs with us in one of our VOMs. It’s just family there too, you know. 😁

You did a bang up job with that song.. I’m impressed you never stumbled on any of the lyrics while strumming through those chord changes. You are ready to entertain your family for sure. Thanks for sharing. Itwas great.

Thanks @David, playing and singing, as you know, is a little like hosting two parties at the same time. I try get on autopilot with one ASAP…still had some lyric blunders here, but, the show (or recording) must go on! 😂

Best way to celebrate Memorial Day is by creating new memories. Family and music. Great combo. Good job stepping outside and bursting into song.

Yes, a great song @ted_h and so much fun to play. I tried to stay on the train once it left the station. 🤣

So? Did you play for the family? How’d it go?

Well, the weather was a complete washout here, so outside playing did not happen. I did play one song for them which went well. However, I spent a lot of time with my brother-in-law in his music den, learned a lot about tech and what I need to take this to the next level. I also held my own jamming with him and he’s been playing for years! @JoeW

Bad weather? East Coaster, I’m guessing. At least you had some fun. What, may I ask, did you play? Songs? 12-bar blues? Just curious.

He has a huge monitor so we both had access to his music. Some tunes morphed into improv playing and I also indulged him with chord progressions for solo(ing). @JoeW

That was amazing, @Marisa. Not an easy song to play or sing either, and you did a fine job of both. Nice back yard, by the way.
