Hey @That_Guy , great stuff, if we only had finger nails (on the picking hand) that didn’t crack and crumble when playing – we’d be able to play with TE👍🤩 I hope to someday be able to play some sort of finger style without finger picks and have people enjoy what I’ve played😎

I saw a video of a guy who was using acrylic nails like the women get at the salon. Do they still make Lee press on nails? Lol

Great question, would you use them😱? I’d be happy just flat picking 🤔 I think

I have mostly focused on flat picking but am currently attempting to mix in some finger stuff for variety. It seems to be easier to singer over. I think i got the thumb down. Now i just need to start adding more fingers and some day i will be able to travis pick

Well thank you… I had not heard of Colter Wall and listened to his Kate McCannon Ballad. I liked the comment one made saying “he didn’t know his voice was so feminine until he heard Colter Wall”. Fun. Fun. I see why it inspired your song. Good job and keep up the creativity.

That sounds great! It’s funny that you mention Colter’s tuning, because my sons are big fans of Colter, and they play some of his stuff with their band. They were just telling me some of the tuning and capo things that Colter does with his songs. They weren’t knocking him for it, just telling me. It’s nice to have musician sons who can help guide mom a little on her guitar journey.
