“The Band, Canadian American band that began as the backing group for both Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan and branched out on its own in 1968. The Band’s pioneering blend of traditional country, folk, old-time string band, blues, and rock music brought them critical acclaim in the late 1960s and ’70s and served as a template for Americana, the movement of hybrid, roots-oriented music that emerged in the late 1990s.
The song “Christmas Must Be Tonight” by The Band is a beautiful and heartfelt composition that captures the essence of the holiday season. Released in 1977 as part of their album “Islands,” this timeless track has become a holiday favorite for many music enthusiasts.” I heard it on the radio today and just had to try it myself. 🎄

I would pull into Nazareth just to check out that camera angle. The Weight of the implications for the world of those lyrics has Stuck Around for millennia.

    Good job. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve got great memories of Levon Helms from The Band. My uncle was good friends with him. I met him a few times.
