I like that song. I know it by Waylon Jennings but it seemed the same. I cannot get finger picks to work at all. You have to have perfect touch or they all tangled up.

That was great @Omar_A.H. I love the fact the I get introduced to songs I’ve never heard especially when played so well!

Really smoothly played and sung. You’ve got that finger picking style just so nailed down, what a great track. Wondering about whether I should try the finger picks too because I do like playing finger style.

I guess the only way to see if fingerpicks are for you is to try them. They do take some getting used to and not all picks are the same, some are metal and some are plastic. It becomes a matter of preference. I prefer the metal picks for fingers and I have a Black Mountain plastic thumb pick. Experiment and let us know what you decide.

The song is great and the picking is inspiring. If you perform it again, you might consider just the raw simplicity of your natural voice is good and fits the song style without resonance. The finger picks are great experimentation. Wish I could do as well.

Albert thanks for the nice comment. Fingerpicking has been a 5 decade experiment for me, someday I hope to get it right. 😃

Really really fine pickin’ Omar! I’ve had some practice with the finger picks through my Banjo experiment. You escaped that ditch and went straight to guitar – very wise🤠

Guy, I didn’t have much choice, had no banjo when I was a kid and folk music was my “thing”, and now you know ……………… the……rest………..of ……. the ……..story.
