  • my first ever guitar routine

hello tac family! i’m 3 weeks in to my 30 day skills course and loving every minute! here’s my deets:

    1. how many days a week do you play? for me right now i’m hitting 7 days a week. i had a lapse of two days a couple of weeks ago and realized that if i wasn’t careful and diligent about my practice i could easily let it slide away. you know, “i’ll get to that after i do the dishes”, or whatever.

    2. what time of day do yo play? i play right after i meditate in the morning, so around 9AM. i also feel the desire to practice at night too, instead of watching tv or before i go to bed.

    3. where do you play? i play right on my living room sofa. i have my computer set up on the coffee table and my dogs are right near by. they like it when i play.

4.what was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine and how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? well, i didn’t have any kind of routine whatsoever. i bought a zager guitar maybe a year ago with the intention to learn to play but it just sat there. now that i have joined tac and committed to playing every day, i am feeling so positive about this journey. i can see myself improving every day. i feel much more familiar holding my guitar and it is becoming a very personal item to me, instead of a thing sitting in the corner. it’s helping me in other ways too that have nothing to do with playing the guitar. i have wanted to learn to play for so long and now that i’m doing it, i feel like i can do anything. it’s giving me confidence. i’m really proud of myself for doing this and even for writing this and submitting it.

    thank you!

    chris
