I joined to help improve my skills. It has taken over a year to doggly teach myself guitar again and I finally can play Freight train by Elizabeth Cotten. Hoping that my acoustic blues will greatly improve

Welcome to the family! If it’s any consolation I came here 6 months ago after noodling about and making no progress since my early teens (I’m now in my fifties) but the improvement I’ve seen over that 6 months has been amazing! It’s learning techniques like hammer ons and pull offs that has been the game changer. I’m still not fluent at my barre chords but that is a challenge I think I will attempt in year 2. Check out the daily challenges – don’t worry if you don’t get them all, just have a go, (honestly I manage to play about 2-3 a week) – and make sure you do the 30 Day Challenge too. Wish you all the best and hope to see you at one of the TAC 90 day online parties.

Hi Alan ( @aisenstadt@msn.com ), welcome to TAC🎸 I hope that the path you journey on here gives you what you’re looking for. I suggest that you go through the 30 Days to Play challenge so that you at least get “the lay of the land” at a minimum. Good luck!👍

Thank you all. So fa so good. First week checking things out and trying to improve some skills Love the challenge today combined with application Tony demonstrated in the Acoustic Tuesday video. Licks by them selves are fun but when applied in combination w/chords adds a whole new level
