@Kitman , I tried to comment on your video earlier but the video wouldn’t load. Logged out and tried to log back into TAC and
was having issues getting back on. I waited about an hour and finally got back on. At least it wasn’t the pink screen of death! Your Improv came out great! Good job with it. -
Nice use of the technique @Kitman 👏👏👏 and great choice of notes too👍👍 Sounded good against the backing track🤩 and a good bluesy feel😎 I struggled to get anything to sound nice against this back track😞, so I abandoned the technique early on in my noodling yesterday🤒 Perhaps I should have been a little more persistent🧐 Thanks for posting.

Thanks @Bill_Brown for watching and for your feedback and encouragement. Sometimes I really have a hard time getting an improv to jive with the backing track as well. 😖 That happened to be in the Drop
D improv last week… so I ditched the backing track and went a bit rogue 🤣. It’s all good!

Great job, @Kitman . I have literally only played against a backing track a hand full of times. I don’t know why I don’t get into it. But it sure is cool to listen to someone else do it. I thought you made really good use of the octave scale Tony gave us and it sounded really good. I especially liked the one where you missed one of the notes. Try figuring out what you hit and do that every 10th one or something like that. It sounded really bluesy.

Hi @MikeGaurnier thanks for watching, listening and giving some specific feedback! I truly appreciate it. I agree: that “wrong” note actually sounded pretty awesome! It is an F vs a G I believe I was tempted to shoot another take but in listening back to I really liked how it sounded. Not to long ago someone on JMG shared a video clip of a professional bass player sharing something like (my paraphrase) “don’t think of anything as wrong… instead see how it works… you might be able to intentionally use it sometime”! 😃 Heck, Mike it may have been you that posted it! 😂 thanks again!

It’s cool that you recorded this @Kitman , that way you can remember what you came up with, especially the “wrong” note. 😁
