Open G Tuning
This morning, while my guitar was still in open G tuning from the “Mustache” lessons, I decided to pull out the old bottle neck and give it a whirl. The small win for me was that I came up with some nice blues riffs. Just using the first 3 strings (High D, B & G) and playing at the 5th fret (C chord), 7th fret (D chord) and 12th fret (high G chord), as well as using the open strings (G chord). I was able to use some of the techniques I learned from the Slide Guitar 101 course and it was enough to occupy me for almost an hour before retuning for today’s lesson.
