Original Draft – Pine Needle Trail
Posted by TMutter on October 17, 2022 at 12:15 pmWrote these lyrics while on a recent trip to France and reflecting on this trip and others over the years and how art and architecture have been used over millennia to influence / communicate (good or bad). In the end we still tend to neglect the beauty of our natural world which in the end has all the real power. Still in the draft stage but coming along.

@stevieblues Thanks! I am working on harmonies and adding some simple instrumentation to add some interest since it is kind of repetitive 😆

Another great TM original! I really liked it @TMutter . It made me reflect quite a bit about how blind we all can be to the natural beauty around us while we are so enamored with what we believe to be the great things we have created. Thanks very much for sharing, Terry!

Hi @TMutter , that was some beautiful sound – great pickin, loved the chord progression too. And the message within the lyrics was loud and clear. This sounds like it’s going to be another hit for you!

@Bill_Brown Thanks for listening! I am still noodling on it and thinking through instrumentation. Going in for a new knee tomorrow which is going to slow things down a bit but I will have plenty of time with nothing else to do but think about it 😆

I just did a trip to France and Spain too this summer and I get it. I love the history and magnificence of what man builds but the quiet beauty of a walk in God’s handiwork puts it all into perspective. Thanks for sharing your composition and your performance is masterful.

Thanks – I love the phrase “word pictures” – I think of that phrase a lot when I am writing but it is elusive most of the time.

I love your new song Terry. Thanks for posting. Your vocal is very clear.
I hope your knee surgery went well and you are beyond the post surgical pain and fog. May your recovery go well. It is a lot of effort to keep up with the PT but well worth it.

Thanks Phil ! PT starts this week and I plan on approaching it just like the guitar – daily practice – unfortunately not as enjoyable 😄
