After 2 days here I went ahead and marked complete because I showed up, despite the fact that I couldn’t reach the .5 speed. I did manage to get from the 5th fret to first fret eventually. My main issue continues to be finger flexibility and getting index and ring together with any speed isn’t happening. I’ll call it a minuscule “win” because I know what to do even though my 76 year old fingers struggle.

@Stickmaker (love the name btw) – I would call this a big win. The goal is to do a minimum of 10 minutes per day, and then you can mark the lesson complete. You can continue to work it, however. Just remember it’s not mastery as the goal, but it is progress, which you made. That’s a win in my book. Keep it as fun as possible. I feel ya with regard to the fingers not cooperating. That’s been a struggle of mine too, but it has gotten better through the lessons. Keep on plunking!

Thank you Loraine, I get it, I’m not looking for mastery, but if I did 10 minutes and then marked it complete I would only get part way through the lesson and never make it to the Play part. It takes quite a while to understand what to do and then another day or so to work on it. I’m very satisfied to make progress and am learning a lot.

I am having trouble getting 1.0 solid, though its pretty good after a long slog. Generally, this is really good practice that I will need to return to every week to master. I feel for you, Stickmaker, and my speed is rather slow no matter how much I try. It’s a win to be playing after a couple of hand surgeries!

Good for you CamCan, I’d say your progress is great having had to contend with the surgeries.
