  • Practicie Routine

I try to play five days a week, and also on the weekend if I need to catch up a lesson. I also play with a friend on Sunday afternooons when she can make it over.

On the week nights I play after dinner, usually for about 10- 30 minutes, depending on what else is happening. If my grandson comes to help me – (he’s 2.5yrs) it’s usually a shorter session.

I practice in the spare room, as it has the computer in it, so I can access the lessons. I play at the kitchen table with my friend, or at her house, or with friends down at a park.

Having a guitar routine has definately helped – I feel moe confident when I do get to join iin a group, or play with other friends. Before the routine, I would play the same classical stuff I learnt 20 yrs ago, and never got any better at playing. I’m finding the stretches I can get to on the guitar, accuracy of note to finger and pick has improved, and also anticipating how songs might sound as I can work out chord progressions quicker. So thanks Tony for all your hard work in setting this up!

Great routine @Tonia_v Consistency wins. You’ll probably find that you get better playing with your friends than if you only took online lessons. What a great thing to have friends like that.
