The Goldberg lesson this week brought into light the difference between Keys and Modes and scales. I thought that since D mixolydian was being played then the key must be G Major. What i was missing is it is the tonal center that determines the key not the mode being played. D was the tonal center and was where the progression wanted return home to. Want to thank fellow TACER Bill Brown for nudging me to explore this more. Lesson learned.

Hey Bill ( @William-S ) nice to see you posting! I’m glad you brought up that lesson, it was making me think, wouldn’t it be nice if @tonypolecastro643 or @TonyP – whichever one is him – could come up with a course on Modes? Maybe it could be an add-on to FW or perhaps it’s own separate course🤔, but I was thinking that it would be really nice if it were to happen🤩. Not really interested in looking for other sites to find that stuff – I’m on this computer too much as it is(lol)🤣
