Hi folks…I hope you enjoy this from last night’s virtual open mic. I had traded a guitar yesterday for this Waterloo WL-K (Kel Kroydon imitation). It will be taking the place of of WL-S that I’d gotten a few months ago. I’m really pleased with this guitar…it’s very light (around 3lbs), x-braced, sitka & mahogany, essentially an L-00 sized guitar. It’s strung up with 11-52s because of how lightly it’s built.

But, I’m attempting to play Etta Baker’s Carolina Breakdown…an appropriate tune for this style of guitar. It’s been a challenging tune to learn even though I have tabs for it but it’s teaching me a lot of different variations on chord shapes and fingerpicking patterns.

Sorry for the latency issue…not sure what was causing that although it might have something to do with an updated driver I installed the other day for my interface. Hopefully it sorts itself out eventually.

Anyway, hope you find something to enjoy in the video!

    Cheers…TimK1

Well done…the fingerpicking was impressive. (I’ve been struggling for 5 months trying to get the hang of it. The weekly lessons are helping.) You are an inspiration!

Thank you @bugmeist (keep at the fingerpicking…it’s so worth it once it starts to fall into place) and @Loraine …so glad you both enjoyed this. Thanks for taking a listen!
