I have been struggling a lot with where to go and what to do next. I love to play guitar. But I’m burning out. I subscribe to two threads on facebook (TAC thread and a Taylor guitar owners thread). All I see on Facebook is guitars and negative political half truths.

what I have found was that people who pay for something appreciate it more than those who get it for free. That is why the community at this site has been so positive. I feel I lost a community.

So, before I give up on TAC (well not until December when it’s time to renew) I will sit tight and hope things get better.

I feel you. Or, as the young kids say, “Same.” I’ve enjoyed reading your posts in the past. I am realizing now that I looked at this membership as much more of a place to peruse threads and thoughts of positivity as an escape from what was going in the outer world. Kind of an affirmation of the better side of humanity. No conspiracies here, just good guitar talk. It was a really nice place of refuge. I guess what bothers me most is the stepford wivesish lack of acknowledgement that there was a sea change at this site. Not just a batch of improvements for the site experience. I was actually really looking forward to this new site based on the teasing of an improved experience and new features. I think that is why the deletions are so shocking to everyone. This kind of came out of the blue, so to speak.

I have to hold on to the hope that a compromise will be made and things will morph to a better site as time goes by. Just hope that it’s not too much time.

Of course, maybe my mid life is kicking into second gear making my head spin.

        Mid life vertigo

        It strikes when least expected

        It drives me mad

        But I can’t feel, rejected.

@John, you are one of the people I wrote about in another post, that I look forward to hearing from, and hope you don’t disappear from my guitar life. Thanks for your thoughts, and insight, now, and always.

AttyTJ, looks like you have the beginnings of a song there.

About the mentions, I’m kind of lost with the new site so I don’t see where I’m mentioned.

        John
