  • Two Small Wins

Posted by Marquita on April 23, 2021 at 12:42 pm

    Today’s daily challenge showed me
    1) a couple options for playing Eb and G. Tony’s demonstration reinforced that it’s ok to play elsewhere on the fretboard and still achieve the right chord sound.
    2) I am paying better attention to the instructions given. I was thinking a bit negatively (that it didn’t apply to me because I wasn’t that advanced)
But, oh, how wrong that stinking thinking can be!
Thanks, Tony! Great lesson today (as usual)

I liked the lesson too. I like the idea of implamenting enting non barre movable shapes. I will probably come back to this lesson several times. And congrats on your win. This week’s lessons have been very fun for me

Stubborn me insisted on playing the barre chords though. Great wins @Marquita , and we all fall into that stinking thinkin sometimes. But you pulled yourself outta it quickly.

🤗 It doesn’t always go so easily, @Loraine, but when it does, I am soooo happy that I can see progress, no matter how small!

Hi @Marquita , great big light bulb. I love how you said this…”But, oh, how wrong that stinking thinking can be!”…so so true. My biggest impediment to my progress is me. Super good reminder. Love those wins.

@Jumpinjeff,I’m glad you agree. We all need to approach this with a NO QUITTING attitude, or it’s like a kid who just heard the alphabet thinking they can spell ‘astronomical’. They don’t know what it means unless someone explains it and any attempt to spell it or use it in a sentence is a complete disaster. With listening, paying super close attention to the details Tony gives, we’re all bound to succeed.
