Wagon Wheel – Darius Ruckus
Bass strumming was never my strong suit. In fact, this is probably the first time I’ve actually played it in a song and not just practice in TAC. I learned this song just a day or two before filming, and I’m happy with it. It can still be sped up and cleaned up a little, but it’s a great start

Wow @Loraine ! Great job on the song having only learned it a few days back. Integrated bass picking with your rhythm is big step. Well done and congrats!

Thanks @Kitman . This is such a fun song to begin with, and the chords were easy enough. The bass picking actually came quite easily once I recognized that the base note was always played first and knowing which string to go to afterward ((had the help of a friend for that part).
And to be fair, this was actually a week into learning it. I originally posted my video from a day or two from learning it. I made corrections to the strumming from discussion with friend about base notes. 🙂

Thank you for your words of encouragement. They keep me moving forward. Also, I told myself a while ago that I was going to play regardless of how good I was. It’s helped me get better.
