Working at the Carwash Blues (Jim Croce cover)
Posted by David_M_Dm on April 8, 2021 at 1:15 pmI played this recently at a Friday open mic. This was my 7th Jim Croce cover and I’m nearing the end of this quest of 9 (enough to make my own tribute greatest hits album). Only one left is the difficult Time in a Bottle cover….still working on that one.

Thanks Maydog. It was a blast to play and I learned a few new tricks with this song too.

Very Cool performance David! You have those chord changes down pat!👏👏

Thanks Christopher – after 8 songs by Jim Croce I’m starting to see that many times he uses similar chords and I’ve gotten accustomed to them. He uses lots of bar chords for sure.

Thanks Phil. I saw you live in Arvada CO. I used to live near 80th and Wadsworth, but that was back in 1992.

Great job! You did a lot of chord changes up and down the neck so smoothly. Seeing this gives me something to shoot for.

That was great David! Such a joy to listen to, and to watch the myriad chord changes…all so smoothly done…very impressive! Thanks for posting; you’ve done Jim Croce proud
