  1. Ok, got it. Just need to keep working on fluidity. Picking: moving from one string to the next; Fretting: arching fingers, avoiding damping some strings and getting fingers all the way tight to the nuts; Stumming: work on alternating up and down on various rhythms. Practice, practice, practice.

  2. This last lesson just flowed from the previous lessons and felt good. Now I will practice them slow and in time speeding up and I gain more pick control. I can fingerstyle like mug. So that is lock me. Now this will be another tool that I have wanted a long time. Practicing here and there will be fun and rewarding. Last step is figure out how to fit into songs.

  3. I really enjoyed the Strumming Jumpstart. Haven’t played in about 15 years and this was a great review. Just wish I had done this course between the 30 Days to Play and the 5 Day Challenge. Can’t wait to play more rhythm guitar. Loving TAC.

  4. Really enjoyed how this all came together. Will be practicing it in the future. Thanks, Tony, for another excellent series of lessons.

  5. I get these strumming patterns and I’m practicing them. I can’t find any tabs for a song so I can practice a pattern with a song. Have any of you found a good song with tabs from Tony’s site?

  6. I need more practice on this 10 essential strumming patterns and would like to put all the jumpstart patterns in favorites but there is no heart in lower right of video to save it. HELP, PLEASE, PLEASE

  7. Went thru this mixing notes and it was interesting. But can’t say I’m ready to use this. Been playing almost everyday but still need more time playing to get more efficient.

  8. I hade been fiddling around with an alternate online guitar learning system for three years before I switched to TAC and this is the first time I not only understand but can use rhythm strumming. Thank you, I have been wanting this for quite a while — straight quarter notes get very old very quickly 🙂

  9. Now I understand why palm muting produced no tone. I have a problem with 8th note down-up either my pick becoming disoriented or getting stuck in the strings on the up stroke.

    1. Note for the palm mute its all down strokes (no up strokes) which makes it much easier to produce a consistent palm mute tone. I too struggle with up strokes and palm muting, but thankfully most of the time the strums are all down strokes when palm muting.

  10. I returned to this page to lower the anxiety I was feeling from today challenge “pumpik pie”. I didn’t want to feel defeated so I came here to have some fun and breath.

  11. This was very good for me; helped me with keeping rhythm, varying up the chord songs with different strums, and helping me with the pick. Thanks!
