Finally something I can do without too much frustration. Keeping on moving along and getting better.

Stranger on the Shore? It is on dobro that I hear it.

Still practicing. Doing better every day. Loving it! My bucket list is to play the guitar.

Holy Mackerel;
After almost 6 years, I finally got this technique… sorta. It’s gonna take persistent work on this, but at least I finally have something to work on. I just never figured out how to make the motion Tony showed us.
At the beginning Tony said we’re moving our finger between 2 frets. Later, he said he was using his thumb as a pivot point. When I tried to move my finger back and forth with my thumb planted on the back of the neck, it created a sort of rotational motion.
In the past I was trying to rotate my wrist and just couldn’t get it. Now I can actually do this, though it is unfamiliar and a little awkward at present. However, now I know I can develop this motion/technique. 🙂 -
Soooooo much easier on an electric. My pinky is side-eyeing me 🙂
-
OK! Got it.

! a day late but im listening!
-
opening licks to shine on you crazy diamond – pink floyd
-
Can’t find my initial response – I found it easier to put little or no pressure on the neck with my thumb, sometimes even letting it float especially on the D & E
-
A couple of vibrato pieces (I think): Melisa; Ghost Riders in the Sky
-
Just about any rock song is going to have vibrato in it. Some of the players I have seen use it a lot are Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Tom Kiefer, Warren DeMartini, George Lynch, and many others. Also great modern blues players like Gary Moore, SRV, George Thorogood (with his slide).
-
Good exercise to work on all fingers
-
Forgot! ” Don’t know what you got til it’s gone” Cinderella.
-
This one wasn’t too hard. I was messing up on the shaking mostly on the third and fifth fret.
-
Nice and easy, Chris Isaac wicked game has some nice vibrato
-
Crossroads: all versions, all artists!
-
Wish you Were Here.
-
Easy night.
-
This was fun & I picked it up better than I usually do the first time on a lesson; will definitely come back to this one
-
Ry Cooder “Feeling Bad Blues” although he integrates the vibrato with his signature slide too.
-
John Mayer – Last Train Home.
-
Any solo by David Gilmour and Pink Floyd. Any guitar solos by Eric Clapton. Both masters of vibrato.
-
“God father” for example.
-
i SHOWED doesn’t sound like much but I know there is more to come
