  1. Just realized after I looked at my card statement LOL, that yesterday was my 5-year TAC anniversary. I am so proud of the progress that I have made over these past few years, and I am looking forward to another year of growth.

  2. I like the sound of it but struggled to play along with you. Fid ok with the git tab but need to work on timing although I hear it in my head. Need more time to practice.

  3. Great riff to jam on and feel the blues in my veins! I used my fat thumb after my serious practice just to see how it sounds. Like I thought…fat!
Peace and love to y’all TACsters!
    Cheers

  4. This was fun! The timing took a bit on certain measures (you know who you are), but it was fun and made sense. I will definitely practice this tomorrow again before the improv.

  5. Easy to memorize, mostly easy to do, but going from 5>8 and 7>10 with my pinky is a challenging stretch. I can do the transition parts but they sound weird. And the turn-around at the end really sounds weird. But OK, I did it, but need to practice pick accuracy.

  6. This one is decepitively easy. Easy to memorize, Easy enough to play but getting the phrasing exaclty right on the open stings requires a bit of coordination between right and left hands. Still a good exercise.

  7. Everything went fairly well, my pick accuracy was good, but I do need to build up the speed which would help me get through this and I will work on it more. But,I am here, I played and had fun and that is my big win for the day.

  8. This week is the best example that TAC is working! Day 146 straight for me and I can along with no effort!
It’s fun, rewarding, and I even have time to work on some skills courses this week as well!❤️
Thanks, Tony…for finally breaking my 40 year cycle of starting and stopping!

  9. Pretty straight forward, great working on pick accuracy. I really need to learn the fretboard (Fretboard Wizard is too expensive); so, I will take Jorgemac’s suggestions and call out the name of the notes as I play them!

  10. This is fun to play. Trying to keep the alternate picking going but always loose it going into the turn around, I end up on a down stroke on the last note. I think I naturally want to play open A and the A on the E string with down strokes. That being said I have come a long way from just picking in a haphazard way.
    Thanks Tony

  11. This was my 70th day as a TAC member and I have to compliment Tony on a couple of things.
First, teaching techniques even though most new guitarists want to just learn songs.
Second, it somehow keeps those of us who did not know what to practice to get any better.
I am improving and I look forward to beginning each Daily Challenge. Seems to have gathered a bunch of us to love playing again!
    Thank you!

  12. Very bluesy bass part using the E pentatonic scale in different positions E,A,B! Great warmup for a cold and snowy day here in Michigan, started out 7 degrees F!

  13. This is sooooo much fun to play. I must have played it 10 or 15 times. Love the blues week. Last week was a real challenge with all the pinky stretching but this week is all fun. I decided to add a slide to the end of the turn around. Call me crazy. Breaking the laws of physics again. This is session 494 and streak 198 for me. Playing here in chilly central Virginia. For all you Eagles fans, sorry about the game last night (muffled laughter). It’s a tough way to lose when your QB throws an interception right at the goal line.

  14. Really like this one. Rhythmic timing continues to be a challenge. I probably need to spend some time just concentrating on that skill.

  15. A scale which repeats for the 1 4 5 12 bar blues. The E is an open string scale while the 4 and 5 are closed string scales. Have fun!

  16. Help yourself learn the note positions on the fret board by being sure to call out the name of the Notes as you are picking them .

  17. This pattern is very doable all over the bass strings, in other Keys. Begin it on the A string and follow the same patterns for the Key of A. Or. E string 3rd fret to begin the Key of G. The C chord would begin on the 3rd fret of the A string, then begin The D chord run on the 5th fret of the A string. You can start it on any fret of the Bass E or Bass A string. I worked through the Keys of E, F and G beginning on the Bass A string and then completed the runs in the Keys of A, C and D the the bass A string just to keep me busy and out of any mischief .

    1. Nice addition to the challenge this morning. Thanks! I need to do more of this to really learn the fret board. I need to go back and do Fretboard Wizard again! Have a great day everyone!

  18. Awesome lesson today. I enjoy this type of lesson because it allows me to apply FW knowledge to extend the lesson into other areas. I hope everyone is doing well, and I can’t wait to read the comments.
