  1. that I’m learning at least a little something each week and not giving up is a win for me. This has been a fun week.

  2. Each week is a win, as I see a new technique that I can do. It might take all week, but by the end of the week I am better than I was Monday!

  3. When I first started to play guitar one of the first things I learned was vibrato but that was using it on single notes applying vibrato to chords is a kooi twist that I will be using in the future, nice win

  4. I DID show up every day and absorbed the leasons. I have found keeping a daily/weekly journal helps keep me motivated. I enjoyed learning vibrato, although I have a long way to go!

  5. My small win was showin up everyday and making improvement on my vibrato. I also liked learning where all of these chords are located.

  6. Small win is the fact I managed to complete all the challenges this week and stay on task. This feels different than the first time I worked thru the vibrato challenge. Hope everyone had fun with this one!

  7. Small win was showing up every day and learning a new vibrato technique. I didn’t know there were so many and vibrato has always been difficult for me. Big win is being able to do some vibrato! I will keep working on these techniques until they become natural.

  8. My small win was being able to do the confined vibrato quite easily today after having considerable difficulty with it earlier in the week.

  9. Great week this week, as I was able to make decent vibrato sounds each day; always room to improve, but I kept up all week. This was ~ my 223rd session since joining June 2024 and I can tell I am starting to pick up the new things more quickly than a few months ago, so just noticing / acknowledging this is my small win!

  10. small win, I was able to find time to play each day this week but it ea challenging to find it as I’m started doing fret board wizard as well this week, all good though progress progress

  11. my small win for the week was putting the pick down and using my fingers to strum. i guess there is a first for everything!!!!

  12. Have a great weekend everyone. The small win for me is disciplining myself to sit and play every day even if it is for just a few minutes. That is what creates the progress.

  13. Tag Along was a good finish to the week of vibrato! Small win was definitely just getting through the challenges with an impinged right shoulder. Finally starting to have more range of motion without pain. Slow progress, but at least it is progress!

  14. I had taken this challenge before as part of the Skill Courses, but I couldn’t quite “get it”. This time through i understood the 3 different styles of vibrato, though I’m not yet fully successful at the “Edgy” one.

  15. Small wins this week. Was able to play the different vibrato techniques. Yay! Also, I noticed that my hands are becoming more independent but able to coordinate picking/strumming with fretting in ways I was not able to do a year ago. Sticking with the TAC process is working! Double Yay!

  16. I have been playing a bit of vibrato for quite some times, but I had no idea that there were different techniques depending where on the strings you are. This is a big win for me as now I feel like I can fine tune this skill. Small win, I showed up all five days and also signed up for the Fret Wizard course

  17. The first examples of vibrato really impressed me. Lovely effect. I would have never known that there were different approaches to vibrato depending on the string. You break down the differences beautifully. I also liked seeing different ways to form the 7 chords. It is great not to be doing finger gymnastics trying to get the others quickly in a sequence. So many aha moments — as usual. Thank you Tony for being such a fantastic teacher. You bring music and joy to so many people.
Thank you also for the incredible sale on the Fretboard Wizard. I’ll be starting it soon.

  18. Using vibrato on low frets on acoustic (nearest the nut) leads to pull-offs which are cool to do. Adds to many runs, and finger picking, even with using vibrato. Tracy Chapman does this a lot in Fast Car. Small win was tried using shaking vibrato with other cords on all strings. Worked very well. The technique is solid, but I need to practice this a little more.

  19. My small win – I really do not need an anchor point to show up to play. Now that golf season is open up north here, I now play guitar anytime after a round. I’m now at the point where I enjoy playing (guitar) and hate missing a TAC session.
As for vibrato, good week and believe I go it. But, I do find further up the neck will require more practice.

  20. I had alot of fun this week. Granted, my vibrato is not that great, but I will keep working at it. I showed up every day this week and learned alot! Hope everyone has a great weekend! See you next week.

  21. I am enjoying getting some finger picking mixed in here. I will probably mix this one into my go to practices to work on getting speed up.

  22. Small win: I came, I played.
Small win: I liked this challenge, today. I actually got it to work for me.
I had forgotten that there were different kinds of vibrato, and I was able to get all three to work for me.
    Great week, Tony!

  23. Good week…learned a lot.
Small wins….played every day even though it was a crazy week…got a bit better at vibratos since the last time…was able to incorporate them in the solos I like to play in A and Am scales…learned how to vibrato on chords not just single strings!
Hope you all have a great weekend TAC family!

  24. Technically not too difficult, but trying to get the right sound needs work. Another great guitar week. Thanks Tony!

  25. The vibrato is a bit of a challenge for me… keeping it consistent. Small win… I do enjoy learning the different chord inversions.

  26. My small win was completing the full chord vibrato. I also was able to complete all five lessons during eye surgery this week.

  27. Small win was vibrato technique and sound got better each day. I threw some slaps on the strings in Tag Along and “the notes were getting bluesy” (with apologies to Bono 😉

  28. It never entered my mind that we could use vibrato on a chord. My small win this week was that I was able get vibrato on (most of) the chords. I do have to continue to train my fretting hand to wiggle properly.

  29. this week I have learned vibrato in different ways , with chords this was all new to me and I was able to do hem easier than I first expected. The vibrato on the single notes is tough on the fingertips even with calisis but enjoyed this week , Thanks Tony
