I agree, that would be awesomely fun to do. Someday soon….
The FolkAlley band was fun. I would like to play with a band like that. Inspired indeed and thinking I might try jamming along with the video.
I want to and need to play the Blues, one of the few styles of guitar in all my years I’ve never attempted or learnt….PLEASE HELP.

David Bromberg. so spot on! I grew up loving his music and have seen him play music a handful of times live. He continues to inspire and shine!
Added a David Bromberg channel to Pandora .
Soft hands and his guitar just sings, so natural and with his band such a full great sound. That is what an acoustic guitar can sound like.
It kind of looked at times like he was playing a double base, he brought the guitar to on par with any orchestral instrument, great perspective.
Thanks Tony
OK confession time. I love all music, but mostly I am a metal/classic rock lover. So a lot of this music is really new to me. To be honest, some of it will take some time to grow on me, but I’m pleasantly surprised how much I like quite a few of these songs. There is no question that there is a lot of talent here. Thanks for expanding my horizons Tony 😉
Obsession was my favorite.
Interesting that he used fingerpicks on the rag, and none on the bluesier and quieter “It Takes a Lot to Laugh…” Hot Tuna brought back memories, and that boy on the fiddle sure knows how to play. Thanks for a couple of great vids.
Listening to David Bromberg`s version of Eyesight to the Blind simply makes me feel good. Thanks a lot for sharing.
“Eyesight to the Blind” This version is from a different time and planet when compared to the electric blues/rock versions preformed by The Who and Eric Clapton. I’d never though of the song as a smooth swing, but it is very refreshing. I like both version equally.
The lyrics for” Eyesight to the Blind” are hilarious. I also liked the kid’s fiddle solo.
Not a fan lol.
Great stuff. Bromberg has been a big influence on me since I started playing in the mid ’70’s. His first two albums had some really great acoustic work. I love his version of Blind Willie Mctell’s song ‘Delia’ played in drop-d in the key of d.

not too hard to play
Love it all great song choices also! It Takes a lot to Laugh it Takes a Train to Cry …is that an E 12 bar blues ? Obviously he’s got some extra flourishes thrown in.
Great playing really liked it
This is my favorite so far …..
