  1. where do I find the tabs for each section to this song? In the weekly lessons I know how to get the tabs but don’t see where the link is to the tabs for each section of this song

  2. OK sect 3 2nd measure the final note B string 8th fret (G) is written in the tab as NOT bent but in the video it appears to remain bent???? Help me out.

  3. After a few months doing the daily practices I came back to this section and finally I pulled thru.
    Guess practice makes perfect.

  4. Is it just me or is this slightly different than the tab? In measure 8 the tab has you playing the 7th fret, 5th string followed by the bend on the 8th fret 2nd string as an 8th note. In the video it looks like you’re pinching those two notes simultaneously as a quarter note, while bending the G note.

    1. Jason,

You are correct, when we initially filmed it I played the two notes separately. I have since re-filmed the lesson and opted for the pinch as you noticed. Sometimes with this tune I will use both techniques even during the same play through, not on purpose, I guess just a habit, sorry for any confusion.

      Cheers,
      Tony

      1. No worries! Thanks for the clarification. I like the pinch better 🙂 I was just confused at first because what I was playing didn’t sound like what you were playing!

    2. You might try playing it as a pinch the first time through, and then as two separated eighth notes the second time through, to give it a bit more interest and variety. I have a PDF of an old John Fahey tab book, and, looking at it, it appears he would use this kind of variation pretty regularly. Specifically, I’m thinking of this song and “Poor Boy A Long Ways From Home.”

    1. Ryan,

You can do it!!! Get all Mcgiver on it 🙂 It has always helped me to take a break and revisit if something is giving me a hard time. Good luck with this and know that you can do this!!!

      Cheers,
      Tony

  5. Tabs on screen to show what fingers are being used as you cannot see straight on with the video. No printer so I have to stop it, go to my iTunes library and back into the video again every couple of minutes to move forwards, when it could be so very easy like a lot of YouTube tutorials do. Please add them on the new songs, everyone would find it much easier and more fun

    1. We have some ideas that will make this much much smoother! It won’t be something we can tackle immediately, but in the coming weeks, expect to see improvements on this system.

      1. easy pc interface: one window is the downloaded tabs and the other window is the lesson. Sorry apple folks.
