This is a good practice challenge on rhythm. Printed and Practicing!
Still working on this one, and previous lessons. Not giving up! I found getting more light in the room made strings easier to see. Now have to move computer or change to Kindle.
It’s going to take some practice, but I am enjoying the Strumming Jumpstart and the “Next 6 Chords” best from this course. The Daily Challenges are too advanced for me at this time.
I’m having a very hard time with the C cord as if get a lot of dead strings I have to slow the rhythm down to stay at on time I’ll keep practicing. It will get better. It just is frustrating. At times. I have trouble with the index finger deadening strings short stubby fingers does not help. i’ll keep working at it until I can get it cleaned sound in good rhythm

Fairly easy to understand after that last lesson. For me locks in the notion of counting out the rhythm using counts and then add the up and down strokes to keep track of the whole strum package.

I have been struggling with the pick/strum direction while counting. Having no musical background, the tabs have been challenging. I was pondering the tabs while listening to Tony the 3rd time, and I got it!
i do wish we could save them with using the hearts and not just downloading them. This was a couple new strums for me. Great!

Although I found this lesson a little bit more challenging than the Common time 4/4 lesson. It’s probably because I have more experience with common time. I really like Tonys method for this the only thing I like to add is to verbalize it prior to playing it.
As a suggestion, maybe just use the version of the C chord that has the E String and A string covered at the third fret for the whole exercise since the emphasis is on strumming. This would eliminate the need for instruction to move the ring finger to the third fret of the E string.
Yes! I noticed that too. Makes for less to focus while learning the strum.

Picking up on strumming slowly but surely
I was struggling to keep the rhythm until I put my pinky on the low G so I didn’t have to move my ring finger at all. This allowed me to focus on the rhythm without having to multitask, LOL. I know I will have to get there eventually, but just not there yet!
This – is what I feel I need the most work on. Timing!

I was a little off on the positioning of a few fingers but cleaned it up quickly, have to Remember that for the future. Finding out I had worse technique then I thought. Better to correct it now.
The Strumming Jumpstart is taking me longer to get through. I notice that when I switch notes or chords I get a lot of dead or mute notes. I’m resolved to stay with it though. Not gonna let it discourage me.

Good Morning, I think the video skips the second line of the worksheet, which I thing goes, 1, 2 and 3 and;. Or 1 quarter note followed by two 1/8 notes. Do I have that right?

This was good. I have loads of experience with reading music. But my strumming is just clumsy. I think that the main thing I need to do is strum more lightly. I felt like this helped with that. Not sure why but counting seemed to help me just have a little more finesse with my strokes.
Tony I’m a little confused on this Lesson during segment 5 to 8. Looking at the Tab I’m reding a single note and two eights Down (silence) down/and, down/and. However in the the lesson I heard
Down one, silence two, down/and three.
I’m not sure if I’m missing something, please someone help here.

I have written many songs and find many chords I use in most of these lessons. I use the same funky c/g chord sounds nice when mixed with the right chord progression.
I have played by ear on 6 string only.
3/4 my finger are sore lol good patterns
Loving this series. I taking it as it comes. Easy enough to understand however harder to put into action.
Harder to keep the right hand going during the syncopated part!

I was doing a ghost strum which kept the timing perfect,
The last one was hard for me too until I started to do what Tony does where he keeps his arm going with the eight notes. That really made a difference for me.
A little better at the last one tonight.
Not to bad on all but the note and a half. It will take me a little work.
