  1. The mp3 play through should start on the 4 th beat of the count in not after the 4 th beat . Small details like this should be corrected as they may be very confusing to beginners . If memory serves me correctly,it is taught correctly in the first lesson but not played correctly in the play through of the melody.

  2. The banjo rolls for guitar class has gotten me back into G tuning again so I came back to work on Nine Pound Hammer again too. This arrangement is really nice with so many possibilities. Thanks Tony!

  3. Hi Tony:-), this is a beautiful arrangement:-). Mister Carroll sounds amazing in Open G and those banjo rolls are just what I need:-). The Banjo Cosmos is aligning hehe:-)

    1. Emma,

Outstanding!!! You have a jumpstart on your banjo journey… and a little birdie told me there may be a banjo inspired guitar challenge coming up 🙂 hehe

      Cheers,
      Tony

  4. Hey guess what I remembered you (Tony) gave me your thumb pick at the jamboree last year so I pulled it out and used it. Very cool. I just need the other 2 finger picks to make it better.

  5. This is a fun and awesome song to learn and play. Loved it. Although, I need to work on speed and timing a bit. Thanks for the job well done lesson as always they are appreciated. I would like to try it with finger picks. I don’t know much about finger picks. Do you recommend any particular size or thickness?
