It took longer than expected to learn Over the Waterfall but I didn’t just want to play it, I wanted to feel at home with it. Section 10 timing was difficult for me and had to play along with Tony several times to even get close. Tony made a smooth roll when playing the pull off on D string and going to the A string. Just couldn’t arrive at his quickness and smoothness. Good thing you have a review Tony! Enjoyed it overall and it improved my timing skills working with my metronome.
I like the quirky ending – almost whimsical!!
I don’t understand this ending. It is very different and almost sounds out of tune.
Dan,
Mission accomplished 🙂 This ending is purposely very dissonant… almost an extreme ear bender 🙂 It leads you down a weird path and then ends with the full chord, bringing it all back. It is not easy on the listener, but effective when pulled off for the right crowd 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
