  1. All week long I’ve been wanting to compliment you on that Santa Cruz guitar. The sound is spectacular and unique. Even without video, I can immediately tell it’s your Santa Cruz. I don’t know how much it cost, but it was worth every penny.

  2. Wow, this is a hard one for me. ring finger not flexible enough to barre the d,g, and b strings. have to use the middle, ring, and pinky to make the A barre chord so it is slow going but will keep at it.

  3. I can see how this lesson will be helpful going forward. You can probably just listen for the appropriate transition notes for any given chord.

  4. Slow but sure, I am getting the bar cords but still do not get my fingers in place quickly on the G bar cord shape, the other were easier for me. It was a good exercise, it is refreshing my strings are ringing on bar chords.

  5. That lesson was a revelation in that it showed me what a difference it makes if I have even one building block I am already familiar with when I start the lesson. In this case it was the G barre chord – the only chord I can remember from when I first played some acoustic guitar 40 some years ago, although I could not have told you what it was called. It’s the first thing I play whenever I pick up a guitar because it’s the only thing I know. The other barre chord was easy too but I play the little finger instead of the 3rd finger because I find it easier. The hardest part was the finger picking strumming, trying to play the right strings. I find that the trick to make the barre easier to play is rolling the index finger slightly towards the head of the guitar because the side of my finger is tougher than the palm side.
