Ever see the John Fahey clip where he nonchalantly ashes his cigarette into the sound hole of his Martin while doing an interview. The look on the reporters faces is priceless

Never seen this version before. Alot cooler than my version.

Sounds like the girl needs a Dobro

Progress is made so slowly that quite often we might feel like we arent getting any better and not even realize that we slowly did.
Right now-that video was my best take out of about three weeks of trying over and over to get a good one.
Right now-I am satisfied with it
but someday- I will look back at the video and say “oh my God was I that bad?!? Im so embarrassed for posting that” lol

When you become more advanced you can just do it with pick control and simply not touch the high e which may not always be practical like when fast strumming. You can also use the next finger to very lightly touch that E string.
Most the time I’m playing chords I’m really just trying to touch the three bass strings

I just bought a few humidifiers and do the whole house. Alot of water to fill every morning but my head doesnt dry out at night and i can leave the guitars laying around. Putting them back in the case is the worst thing you can do cuz you cant play em if they aint within reach and ready to go. I even keep a single 0 next to the couch so i can noodle while the commercials are on tv

One thing I had to learn about chords was that I was striking them with the pick way too hard causing the buzzing. Your fret hand may be fine. Try running to pick across the strings later and see if you get less buzzing to see if that’s your problem

Once you can hold a g like that 7 or not, its easy to switch to c or f

1. Don’t worry about any of the shapes except for the six string E major in the five string a major. All of the other shapes are fairly impossible or useless unless you’re a super advanced player.
2. Are you asking how many strings to play or how close to the headstock?
3 The lowest note in pitch or another words the note with the most bass. This is whatever note is played on the thickest string
4. You should memorize the notes on the low E and a string as most cords are routed on these two strings. I would only worry about memorizing up to about the seventh fret

Idk why strumming feels more natural to me with my fingernails than a pick. Irony is I would rather be better with a pick.
The guitar is a cheapo recording king that i bought because i wanted a parlor size couch guitar to practice fingerpicking but ends up the nut is too small for my huge hands.

Strangest thing I just received a letter from myself. I don’t remember writing it. Some thing about plutonium, a box full of pinball parts, and a de Lorean.
