Ok maybe the song is called Makeup and Faded Blue Jeans i thought it was Downtown Modesto lol
I love this performance because everyone else is in a suit and tie and the Hag shows up dressed like he drove a John Deere to the show. He has this look on his face when he sings like he is someone’s dad from the audience that got too drunk and wondered onto stage only to realize he could sing and play guitar

Do you think that’s bad some of the skill challenges say that the last time I attempted them was in the 1960s before I was even born lol

Oddly it always counts your initial post as the first reply

Working on the solo turn around to add to the songs final cut.
Wow who know attempting a Roy Nichols electric guitar solo on acoustic with .13 gauge strings would be so hard lol.
Getting closer to sounding right with some adaptations. Quadruple pull offs just lose too much sound level on non-electric
Fast forward to 1:14

I don’t know why but that one was always my worst sounding cord too. One try strumming softer on the strings. Two try not to play the high E string. Do most of the strum on the bass strings

ok if you won’t sing it i will….. Operatah, will you help me place this call?????😲

I keep forgetting to do it but i noticed in alot of youtube videos of songs I want to learn they seem to wrap their arm around the back of the guitar near the strap button instead of over the top. Seems to be the best way to strum near the back of the sound hole
Figuring out how to make strumming not harsh sounding with a stiff pick is turning out to be really hard. The hardest thing to learn was to dig in way less barely even touching them compared to how you do with a soft pick but the tone is worth it.

Also hold closer to the fret to buzz less. Squeezing tighter to stop buzzing isnt aways the answer. If your far from the fret you have to squeeze harder which ends up pulling the note sharp which is also nails on a chalkboard

Once the skin on your fingers thicken you dont seem to need to squeeze as hard. I use mediums strings and at first the would always buzz. Nowadays i barely lay my fingers on them.

Cool. Always liked that song. Almost looked like some of the fills were Tac monday finger stretch exercises
-
Yep. It works. I can see the tab normally but if its favorited its invisible

I’ve been into 1950 60 70’s country lately. Seems to be the way people used to do it back then in the songs i like. Also note they used to put the strap on the headstock so I don’t know if that has something to do with it
