This is great! Having our first winter storm here so I think I should get lost in a Buffet song!

Congrats @Daniel_Morin can’t think of anyone more deserving of this beautiful instrument. It’s nothing but a piece of furniture until you apply your very impressive musical talent. Then it’s a remarkable piece of craftsmanship. Enjoy!!

Ha Ha yes no reason for any negative thoughts here. The guitar & music in general is such a deep subject that no single source could cover it all, On an acoustic Tuesday show a while back Tony introduced a few of his favourite online teachers. i think that says something. I would guess that most TAC members also have other sources for their particular interests.

Yes I have! That’s great and I think that’s the essence of the TAC program. I have heard it over and over from many accomplished players “consistency” is the key to improvement. There are all kinds of analogies – I was a distance runner. To do your best you need to run/train consistently. Doing a bunch of miles now and then doesn’t work. Thanks for sharing. Your enthusiasm is contagious 👍

Great discussion guys…

This has been an interesting discussion. I seem to constantly be trying to find the right balance with my guitars. And the proper posture is so important, sure feel the impact when it’s not. I’m not a big guy and lately I’ve been trying to find a comfortable way to maintain a right hand position that is just behind the sound hole. The sweet spot. When I do so it seems as if I’m “reaching” for the open position frets. I think it’s just practice and getting used to that position. Hey ever see little Jimmy Dickens? Small man with a Big Jumbo Guitar!! He made it work😃

Up here in the prairies of Canada we’re getting some lovely early mornings. I love to grab a coffee, my guitar and play in the backyard as the sun rises. I’m so very grateful that I decided to finally learn to play. I’m climbing, sliding then climbing some more and loving the adventure. Cheers👍

Thanks for posting.

You’re not wrong @Carol-3M-Stillhand I saw a interview with Ron Block from Union Station. He has a very meditative Zen like start to his sessions. He stresses a very light touch and just deeply appreciating the sound these amazing instruments produce🙏

This discussion is like you guys have been reading my thoughts! I suspect @jumpinjeff may actually have that ability! Anyway this is exactly my goal – the back pocket songs. And there’s no doubt some classics are always well received. Brown Eyed Girl anyone? Or for those born after the invention of the internet – Time of Your Life 😃
