@AnneD, You can work with the 30-days as long as you like. You could also go back to it at a later date and see how much you have improved. To help you out there is a course in the Skill Courses called “Strumming Jumpstart” that might help you out. There is a collection of 9 songs to practice with. I have to say, I was horrible with strumming, especially with a pick. Now, I’m much much better. It’s just practice. Good luck to you and I hope my comment helps.

@JoeT They auto renew. You don’t get any warning either! Not even a simple email telling you the are going to be charging you. That was something I really didn’t like. I copied the information for you to let you know the rules on renewals. If you do cancel and decide to renew in the future it won’t affect your information on the site. Things like favorites, skill courses, etc. You’ll be welcomed back with open arms.
<b data-post-processed=”true”>TAC Membership Auto-Renewal:
Because the TAC Membership is a recurring subscription to ensure your membership does not lapse, your card on file will be charged upon your renewal date for another term (Quarterly or Annually) unless you cancel your TAC Membership by changing it in your account settings or reaching out to support. This is to serve as a convenience for you so that you don’t have to remember to renew and never have to miss a day of playing!
If you would like to cancel the auto-renew in your TAC account, follow the steps below:
-
Log into your TAC account
-
Click on your name in the top right
-
Then scroll down to Account
-
Choose Membership Billing
-
Scroll down to “Subscriptions”
-
Click the “X”
-
Confirm Cancelation

@Kitman You did a great job on Towns Van Zandt’s ‘if you needed me’. Both the singing and playing you performed was superb. Then to go the extra step and add the tutorial for us. What can it say?? Thank you so much. Just copied it to the list of songs I want to learn. 😉

@Screaming_fingers_jackson, this is great! Is this the first guitar that you built (or are building). Do you buy the materials yourself or in a kit? This is just fantastic!

I was first up so there wasn’t a big audience yet. I really think this is what I have to do to get better. I’ll give it another go.

Thank you @Mrfredsporty, I appreciate your kind words. You have searched out the old Song Vault. It’s got a flat picking side. I became interested in the bluegrass flatpicking tunes myself. If you don’t remember the site it’s https://app.searchie.io/hub/254V7grV3m/ Make sure to bookmark it somewhere. That way if you leave in April you’ll still be able to get to it.

it was a tough find. Someone mentioned it to me a few months back and i put it into a picture form. Much easier to figure out that way. You’ll like the site.

@David_Leo , I had a lot of fun with TAC but, I think it’s just time to spread my wings and go. I do plan on really stepping up my game when it comes to playing the guitar.

I’m on the tutorial right now. He is very good at explaining what he is doing and takes it slow. I’ll check out his other tutorials too.

We aren’t supposed to add links to other sites in the forum.

That is quite an accomplishment. Really something to be proud of. Thanks for sharing your story. @Timbothirroul
