Doing the daily challenges everyday is good but I can understand your confusion on where to go next. I would recommend the 5-day routine challenge. It explains what the daily challenges are actually for. We are not to mention other sites on the forum, sooooo……… that said. If you go to my profile page, in the ‘About Me’ section, I have listed a few sites I use for searching out songs. Good Luck. Hope I have been some help.

@Don happy TACiversary! I don’t think they do anymore VOM on Tony site anymore. But, I’m sure one of the other guitarist can help you out with that. As for in-person meetings…. you could go to the members list and see if there is anyone in your area and message them. Maybe you guys (or gals) could get together once in awhile. Good Luck and welcome back to the states.

@Regis Don’t worry about it. You’ll get faster. Keep it easy on yourself when learning. If you can strum C, Am, F & G, that’s a good start. Maybe add an E chord with that sequence. Play it C, Am, E, F & G. That way you only have to move your fingers over to get the notes to the E chord. If that is too many chords to concentrate on take one out. Do you think it would help if you strummed to a metronome? I know you said you were slow, but if you are only adding one new chord to chords you know already, you might be able to do it. You could set it on set the beats per minute at 40 or 50. It would put a little more pressure on those fingers to learn the chords. Good Luck, and just to let you know, B7 and F are both hard chords (at least for me).

@Loraine , good job on this great song by Goo Goo Dolls. In fact it’s my favorite song by them. You played the song very consistent with the timing. That’s the important part. Good job working the neck of the fretboard too! Good job.

@JennyMc , in the 30 Days to Play Primer course, the 3rd section is ‘Learn to Read Tablature’. It’s short and simple. Go back and take a look at it. 1) Tune your Guitar, 2) Learn the 4 Technique “Check-ins”, 3) Learn to Read Tablature and 4) Learn How to Read Chord Diagrams. I did look at the link @Philb sent and it does go into a little more detail, so that should be a help too. Good Luck. Once you figure it out you’ll never forget it.

@JNB , I think a lot of people make the mistake that the challenges have to be mastered to click the “Mark Complete” icon. If you can spend 10 minutes on the challenge, that’s great, mark it done. If it’s something that you want to go back to, make sure you select the ‘favorite’ icon. This will save the link to the video and tab. You can download the tab but not the video to your home computer. We used to be able to download the video but we can’t any more. If it’s something you really think you need. Take out your IPhone and video tape it. Good luck, sounds like you are on the right track.

@Brian2501 OMG!!! So sorry to hear about your fall. Smart thinking about getting your wedding ring off while you still could. I have to thank you for the pictures. I never would have dreamed your finger was just dislocated. I would have sworn, broken for life. You are a real trooper to get back on the guitar right after your injury, glad it wasn’t broken.

Hi @HeyJude , Are you talking about the ‘play for us’? If so you just click on the subject line of the post. If you want to go to the members YouTube channel, click on the url address. Or there might be a ‘watch on Youtube’ icon. If this what you meant by your question? I’ll have to look into the YouTube channel myself, seems some people have one and some don’t, but the song will still be there.

@Loraine , I have a question. I went to the youtube app to listen to a song and some TAC members a nice ‘channel’. Looks like a website with their songs on it. Is that something that we can make up on YouTube? Mine isn’t fancy. In fact, i don’t think i even have a channel? Thanks in advance.
