It is great that you recorded yourself @mcarlson_sb . This lets you compare your progress objectively it is also a great as tool for watching how you are playing (fretting hand technique, picking technique, posture holding the guitar, etc.).

Thanks @Bill_Brown , I thought perhaps I was having a senior moment! Usually the backing track has a count-in and lasts for 2 or 3 minutes and then resolves itself at the end. This one seemed to have none of those. Perhaps TP is testing us! 😉

Tony is right – we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others. Each of our journeys are unique. I am really glad you posted as I learned from your improv. We all learn from each other no matter where we may be in our own journey! 😃
