Welcome to TAC @LuckyJack ! Great small win! Consistenly showing up to play your guitar in line with your guitar routine is the key for fun and improvement over time. Have fun!

  • @Philb , so sorry to learn about the struggles of your son. My thoughts and prayers go out to him plus you and family. The song you created to help all understand what he is going through is touching and vulnerable. Shining light on what seems to be a taboo subject helps us all understand a bit more. Thank you for sharing with us.

Hi @AlteredGoods , I am unaware of a mass download for the lessons. I think when you do each days lesson you should be able to save the tabs to your files. There is a little tab icon in the lower right underneath the lesson video. You can click this to open the tab and then save them to your files from there. I know this is not what you were wanting but hopefully it helps.

Hey there @Bill_Brown , thanks very much for viewing the post and for your feedback and words of encouragement. I especially value the specifics you provide. They really mean a lot to me and help me become better. I will confess that blues music and playing the blues on my electric guitars is where I spent most of my time in the past. It is exciting and gratifying to me to learn, practice and play the blues on the acoustic. I have been working on my finger picking skills and plan to begin learning the styles and songs of the early acoustic blues masters.

Hi @albert_d . I use a MacBook Pro and a Focusrite 2i2 for my hardware set up . I record my vocals and guitar using MXR condenser mics that came with the 2i2 package. For the backing track I use a utility application called LoopBack. It allows the creation of virtual audio devices by combining applications that are running as well as hardware inputs. For example, when I am recording an improv I create a virtual device that integrates sound from Chrome (for the backing track) and my 2i2. LoopBack gives me the ability to set the individual audio levels for everything included in the virtual device. I use QuickTime to record. For this I select the audio source “LoopBack Audio” vs the 2i2. LoopBack works very well and allows the user to set up and save a number of different virtual device configurations that can be turned “on” when you need them and “off” when you don’t. LoopBack is a product of a company called Rogue Amoeba. There are some free utilities out there for Mac I have tried with which you can accomplish the same thing, however setting them up and using them seemed confusing to me. Loopback is very straightforward.

Sorry for the long winded answer! Hopefully it is helpful. Let me know if I misunderstood your question or if you have additional questions.

Thank you @Dage for watching the post and for your feedback. I truly appreciate it! I feel very fortunate to have my “Guitar Lounge”. Everything is out and ready to go! It is also great for small jam sessions.
