Hey @Mrfredsporty these symptoms are related to finding a passion you love and feeling like you are something you might call your purpose. Have no fear of popping my friend for potential is unlimited and when you are surrounded by a group of encouraging folks and exposed to new input you will find potential you may have never imagined to exist.
TAC creates an environment and provides a technique (guitar routine, daily challenges, forums) that stokes the fire of our journey and helps us all fulfill our passion and purpose of becoming guitar players. Keep on playing and keep on growing. 🎶🎸😎😃

@the-old-coach is rockin’ it! 🤘🎸😎🎶 I really enjoyed watching your performance coach and am going to be stealing some of your licks! Your timing and rhythm was spot on with the track. Thanks for posting and looking forward to seeing more from you! 😃

Hi @JoeT , thank you for taking the step to “dump your bucket” as it many of us TACers may feel the same frustration (I have) and hold it in to ourselves. By sharing you have prompted some great responses and encouragement for our colleagues! As a result we all learn and are encouraged! Thank you! Keep on playing and make sure you have fun (finish up your session with a song you love to play, a lick you have down pat, etc) – it makes the frustrating bits seem a lot less annoying ! After a while you will begin to find that those annoying bits begin to find their way into your “fun finish”! 😎🎸🎶

Thanks @Mrfredsporty for the feedback and input – and I can definitely understand the connection to Bread. They had a very open, breathing (ha – didn’t plan that corny pun, but will take it 😀) sound and some beautiful songs. I wonder if they used open chord tunings. 🤔
If you haven’t tried an open chord tuning yet I recommend that you definitely explore it. Or, you may want to explore DADGAD tuning (a so called alternate tuning). I find these tunings are super friendly to my guitars and produce a very lush, full sound. A bonus here is that chords and or licks can be made using one or two fingers. Take open / alternate tunings for a spin. You might like them! 😎🎸🎶

Yes!!!! Every time I go to record anything @the-old-coach ! I finally figured I would just let the camera roll and do what I need to do (restart, redo, etc) and then trim the clip to something that seems decent enough to submit (not splicing separate performances together, just picking the one that seems the most OK to me).
The other thing I found that works… warning this may sound weird… is to start the camera and jus sit there with my eyes closed a couple seconds and do a couple deep breaths… and then look up into the camera and smile at myself. I know – weird – but I figured if I can’t be friendly to myself then what the heck!
Another idea: do a take that feels as over the top as you can possibly make it (eg. grooving with the song, best guitar face ever, really projecting, etc) and the watch it back. Better yet have someone else watch it back. You may find out that what feels over the top to you is just about right to be enjoyable for your audience.
Finally – let go and have fun! See what that looks like on film. See if that doesn’t make you smile! That’s why we are all here, right?
🤘🎸🎶😎

Thanks Mike @MikeGaurnier !! I notice when I paste something into TAC (using Chrome browser) it always seems to get doubled. I experience this when drafting a post in another app and pasting into a TAC post. Didn’t think about that and the link! 😃 You nailed it!
