Nice job @the-old-coach ! That is a really great chord progression. I also appreciate your tenacity in getting the video posted!

Really great @Marty69 ! Love the song and your performance! Love your right hand finger style technique.

Well done @the-old-coach ! Beatles songs have a lot of fast chord changes and 7th chords and you nailed it! Thanks for sharing!

Great improv @Jonathandavid . Your fretboard fingering and right hand picking is very smooth and produces a great tone. A super example for all of us!

Thank you for the kind words @the-old-coach .
I was really nervous recording it and scared to death to post it. I have been a dabbler for a long time and haven’t taken the time to improve my skills, technique, quality and consistency. I am very self conscious playing for or in front of other people.
And regarding your advice, I really do appreciate it and have thought about it many times over the last 4 days: slow down, focus on quality and consistency, speed will come in time, have fun! Coach, your advice and encouragement is just what I needed to hear. As a result I am approaching each session to meet myself where I am now vs where I think I should be – trusting the system and having fun.
And, I love this community! I feel like I have found my people!

Hi @Mrfredsporty , I fret the low E string with my thumb for D, D7, F, G etc. I always felt a bit lazy doing it and then found that having this option was a great way to emphasize the bass in a power chord or quickly fret the low E for walking bass notes. As @jumpinjeff said – go for it!

Thank you @Bill_Brown ! On the inside I was really nervous. Thanks for your kind words and encouragement! 😃

Yes, @Loraine I did some improve with the scales this evening and will continue to use the backing track to improve accuracy and quality of the notes during my improv.
