To get in sync with 3/4 time (or any time signature) you need to count yourself in. So with the metronome going, say out loud 1,2,3 1,2,3 …. Then at some point when you get to a 1 you start playing on that beat and you should then be in sync.
Metronomes take practice, just like the guitar. I will often just count with the metronome without my guitar just to get use to internalizing the beat.

The Quick Start guide is correct. The email went to everyone and was geared towards those who have already completed 30 Days to Play and the 5 Day Challenge.
The Daily Challenges are a self contained week long series of classes. Once you have completed the 30 & 5 Days just jump in on whatever Daily Challenge is happening that week. Start on the Monday lesson and just work your way through.

The 1x play along should be at the normal speed. So if the song is 60bpm, then the 1x play along will also be 60bpm

Tony will always play his interpretation of the song due to copyright concerns. Thursday’s lesson is often Tony’s version of the complete song. If you want the song like it was played by the original artist then I would suggest something like Ultimate Guitar tabs or YouTube.

I thought the repetition is part of the program. Each time it comes around I should be better at it and play better than the time before. If it was always new lessons then I would never perfect anything unless it was easy the first time around.

The title does change a little each time the song comes around. Sometime a -1 is added to the end.

It is the benchmark song this month and will be coming up in a couple of weeks. That being said I doubt there will be many benchmark videos posted here as posting that song to YouTube will get you banned very quickly.

I play that song often but it is all strumming. Do you have the tab for your fingerpick version?

I used Meetup.com to find a dozen different guitar jam groups in my area. Went to several until I found one I like. Now play with them every Monday night. It has been a great experience. I learn so much every time I go.
