Congratulations. This understanding of what is happening on the fretboard will launch your guitar playing to a whole new level. And it makes playing so much more fun and versatile. FBW has been a great value for me. Enjoy having your eyes opened.

Yes, the techniques behind it have been covered at some point in the past. I recall the Tuesday lick was In the Old Mine and the Improvisation Wednesday lesson was called Skippin’ and a Jumpin” and the Rhythm was Transistor Radio but beyond that I’ll not be much help in finding it. You might be able to find it by going to my profile and under those I’ve listed as favorites you might find it. I have read others in the forum direct folks in that manner. Good luck and have fun.

It has to be really bad to go for three or I just decide I’m not ready to play it yet and it needs some more work. All those takes, “takes the fun out of it and makes it work for me. The benchmarks Tony suggests I do, but I don’t post them. I like your Jimmy Rogers catalogue. You have built up a nice repertoire. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve always loved the line “won’t read the book because the ending is just to hard to take.” Good performance and good “Song for a Winter’s Day”. (Perhaps another suggestion.)

MemberFebruary 18, 2025 at 2:13 pm in reply to: For Valentines Day – Original “You Got One”Such a well-crafted song both musically and lyrically. I appreciate the nuanced chords with alternate voicings to keep it interesting. It is a joy to accompany you on this journey. I am headed to NOLA for Mardi Gras next week. It is my first time back since I was there in 2020 when COVID broke out. It causes me to think of our TAC journey leading up to and through all that Zooming and other surreal musical sharing. But back to point… great original song.

It is great to find some musical piece that calls you to a meaningful time or place in your life and then to realize that you see the path to actually play it. That’s happened to me with Here, There, and Everywhere by the Beatles. I’ll post it sometime this year. Great win.

I have a Martin backpacker guitar that I take with me when I travel. It is easier than a full guitar to carry places, has sparked conversation wherever I go, and keeps me on my plan. And I can always access the internet and use my laptop for the Daily Challenges.

Way to go. It is nice to be able to revisit your musical love and TAC is the place so many of us have found and used to walk that path to a richer, fuller guitar journey. Welcome.

Thanks. All you are Romantics at heart. Be sure to tell someone they are your Valentine.

AwHH.. you are making us blush. ☺ Thank you for your kind (but true) words.

I have used Lauren Bateman, Guitar Tabs app, and Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Most YouTube songs show a tab as they teach, too. You won’t have any shortage of finding tabs for most songs you wish to put into your back pocket. TAC gives you the technique to pursue about any song you eventually want to play. Fretboard Wizard helps you to know why the song is played as it is and reduces that memory work

I smiled through every measure recalling the feeling of those Summertime Blues. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. The video aspect is something new I am starting to play with. So far it hasn’t become work. I don’t do multiple takes when I record because I found out earlier that does suck the joy out of playing. Playing by definition has to be FUN.

MemberFebruary 13, 2025 at 5:49 am in reply to: Can’t Help Chiming In (Chime… A clear ringing sound)Thank you. I’ll also do a little flatpicking after Valentines. I started TAC with mostly fingerpicking but over time have also gotten comfortable with the pick. One of the nice things about TAC is pushing you out into new territory.
