Sorry, but you are about to take a plunge. (Actually, it is a good plunge). You are ready to dip into the Daily Challenge. (Note the word “Challenge” is in the title… it’s not an ambush). The Daily Challenge leads you into a process of playing regularly (at least 10 minutes). The frustrating things for many being introduced to the process is that you will likely not master the area (the five areas are technique, licks, improv, chord progression, and chord transition) each time you are exposed to it. The challenges do come around again in one form or another. I’ve been doing this for over 2,000 sessions and there are many daily challenges I have not mastered. But I’m a lot better player than I was when I started, I am having more and more fun on my guitar journey as I realize there is joy in the doing as much as the mastering. Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first. The two major obstacles to finding that joy are: 1) Understanding you will never get there and 2) Comparison thinking. Both are hard for my personality type. The first obstacle stems from a desire to tie off the knot and move on. The second stems from the idea that a competition exists between Tommy Emmanual and me or even worse… me tomorrow and me today. In both cases, Tommy and me tomorrow win. Once I figured out that Tommy or me tomorrow doesn’t care how I play and relax, I understand I am no longer over my head. There is no water in which to drown.
OK. This is too long, and I will let you get on to your daily rat killing. Thanks for asking the question. Others may have better advice.

Congratulations on this major milestone. It’s not the anniversary as much as the conference and fun you are having with it.

Welcome back. It has been a while! The website is modified but the progress is still there if you put in the 10 minutes. I think you will like the Benchmarking and other innovations. Make 2025 your year to own it.

The first should roll around next week. Three one each month. Welcome back.

Looks like you have 2025 off to a Lemans Start. Go for it.
-
Sounds like you are ready to incorporate some Lyrics. Nice progress.

I haven’t noticed the site being slower but I certainly am. I was working on a Christmas assembly project and needed a drill. My high school granddaughter told me, “I’ll go get it for you, Poppy. It will be quicker.”

The it’s bitsy spider climbed up the water spout…
Anything worth doing is worth doing [slowly] at first.
Good benchmark.

Congratulations on noting this TACIVERSARY milestone. I applaud your deliberate path and your growth in confidence, skill, and most of all, fun. Have a great 2025.

I commend your choice of paths and validate your decision with my personal experience. Life’s journey is hard but better with a guitar strapped to your back. Happy New Year.

I recommend the Lifetime plan because it committed me and has become a great value both financially and personal fulfillment-wise.

Interesting mash up. Did you put your camera on the floor? Why did you choose your camera angle? Merry (belated) Christmas.

I’d forgotten about this American song. Thanks for reminding me with this quick but fun rendition.
