There is something I like about the intimacy of fingerpicking and the tactile connection with the instrument when the muscle memory is kicked in and it all works. I recall a John Denver performance in Ft. Worth when the band left the stage and he came to the front of the stage and sat down and fingerpicked.

Congratulations to @drbrow and @Kona_Bruce each on your Taciversary. It is right and good to pause and ponder on the passage of this 4th milestone. May your journey to #5 be filled with wonderful songs learned front to back.

That is a long and joyful run. Congratulations. I suggest to all newbies to get the lifetime membership. It is a great value if you are really wanting to incorporate lifetime guitar learning into your life. We’ve seen TAC evolve over those years and that in itself is so interesting. Many more Taciversaries to you.

I like to play it the way presented though just for the versatility and discomfort it brings me so I get a new tool on my toolbox. The theory here is that there is a harmonized “bass run” going on from chord to chord. It is good to experiment with it.

You have blossomed as a player and a performer. I am so happy for you.

Others have asked for that explantion and Tony has occasionally done so. But if you go to previous Acoustic Tuesday sessions especially right before the end of Acoustic Tuesday, Tony did a series of telling the back story of many of his guitars and how he came to possess them and why he likes to use certain ones for certain types of songs.

Nice and interesting new development. There seems to be an influx of new students and it’s good to show them this old tradition.

Now that looks like a whole pot full of fun. Finding people to play with and then being able to play with them is like Miracle Grow on your Guitar Journey. Very happy for you.
