If you can stay with your 10 minutes a day, you will find an eventual and sustainable path of improvement that can’t help but let you songwriters creativity express itself with accompaniment. Welcome to TAC and congratulations on your small win.

Something we should all do. I had strings on my Christmas list but not one of my kids gave me any. I had a set of special DADGAD strings listed.

Tony (and Tommy Emmanuel) use an AER Compact 60/4. He mentioned that recently on an Acoustic Tuesday. I went for something a little less expensive and have purchased a

arriving next week. One of my 2023 objectives is to learn about amplifying acoustics and gear related thereto. I read a book “Essentials of Acoustic Guitar Amplification from Acoustic Guitar and have re-visited some Acoustic Tuesday episodes in trying to appease my Enneagram Five side. I am also trying to research the recording aspects. Tony’s last episode talked about microphones and I like the Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina (but again a little pricy for this beginner) and I am researching a Scarlett 4i4 Audio Interface to try to hook up to a computer.

Again I am in the middle of this learning process but that is what I have done as if this year end.

Welcome and if you do your “10 minutes” you will reap rich rewards. I assume you are in 30 days to play. And do just that please. Let it be okay and not work. TAC has been a most fulfilling experience for me. After 90 days I splurged for a Lifetime membership. That was almost 1400 playing sessions ago. I don’t get paid for this endorsement. I just testify it works for me.

Hey those are the picks you use on your nose, not on a fiddle tune! Ha. Ha. Ha. Good job.

Music is a good way to spend the Winter. ( Well I guess that is naive since Music is good any season). Good job.

I appreciate your song. My Mom passed in 2022 and I empathize with your sentiment and heartfelt original song about an intimate aspect of your Dad.

I am so pleased to read of your TAC [long tenured over 1,700] playing sessions. You’ve seen TAC develop and evolve along side your own guitar journey and you are an encourager to your fellow Guitar Geeks in the forums. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and may you continue to find the joy in music through application of theory and improvement in technique. It does our aging brains good to put songs to memory and perform them so here is to staying sharp and active. Congratulations.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Might as well take life with a song. Is it the dawning of the age of Aquarius?

When those little portals suddenly appear, it makes for such great excitement. I really enjoy when a lesson comes around again and it is so much easier than the first time when I struggled with it. It gives a feeling of accomplishment for sure.
