    Hi buffalo gal!

I returned to guitar after many years. My “original” guitar was from SEARS, in the 60’s! So my gift to myself during COVID was a refurbished Baby Taylor, which sounds lovely and made the reach up and down the fretboard much easier. I wanted a fuller sound so I did a lot of online comparing and my budget was limited so I went for an Epiphone dreadnaught. Nice full sound but I discovered the reach brought back old shoulder issues. One more try on line, still again after much comparing within my price range I am happy with a Cordoba mini, parlor size. I have found, yes, they will give you measurements and you can usually call if needed. Do much comparing for features which are important to you. Deal with someone reasonably local, in the US at least, with a good guarantee/warranty policy. They have shipped well; double wrapped, double boxed and no problems there. Guitar shops are good to support your community and they can often offer you service that is really helpful. You decide and best to you in the process!

Thanks everyone! that was exactly what I did – Youtube search and it was fairly easy. I just wanted to be sure there weren’t special tips I needed to include. Satisfying job, well done!

You go girl! Braver than I and coming along steady, even able to sing along! You encourage me to hear and see you! I’ll keep practicing, but you, Go girl!

YUP! I love music and I appreciate everyone who can do the improv and post them!

But I must have been pickin up seashells at the seashore that day they gave out gifts and talents! Nevertheless, I commit to my practice, pick up my guitar because I love it and try to follow up with some of the Tuesdays, skill lessons and forums. I just don’t have huge chunks of time to give it. I do the 90 day reflection and I totally respect the process Tony has developed. This is my second year of TAC and I have learned so much. I have a pile of small wins, yet miles to go, but that’s OK, because this IS a journey I am glad to be on!

Wow! That was such an inspired piece! I watched your finger picking and your fretting and thought, “Man I know all those chords and licks but there they are, all running around on the playground together with such a nice bit of sameness yet variety! Practice is one thing for people like me but gifted is another for people who are (humbly) talented!! You are!

I’m Diane, too! I like the guitar accompanying the vocal. I love harmonica but maybe as a bridge? That way loud and clear, its mournfully by itself! Reminiscent of “The Gambler”. Ballads speak volumes in a few minutes!

Overall, I’ve kept a good routine but cannot give it much more than 10, maybe 20 minutes. Not enough to do more than a lesson and review of yesterday. So it seems like although I had almost completed fretboard wizard, I had’t gotten a good enuf “freight train” to play and record. so did I essentially lose credit for doing it? This seems like a whole different fretboard wizard set of lessons. I’m still exploring the new set up of tabs, skills etc. the small win is that I am having fun, stretching my sense of everything guitar and music.

thanks! that helps to hear. Seems like the sequence of lessons is not dependent on the previous lesson, sometimes they are, but not necessarily.
